New Year Prayer
The arrival of a new year brings a great opportunity to renew our faith and love for God and Jesus. It's also a wonderful time to renew the joy of salvation in our hearts, as a new creation in Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Whether 2021 brought you success, fulfillment, and joy or you faced grief, setbacks, and struggle, you can look ahead to 2022 with hope.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts to of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Dear God, Thank you for new beginnings. What an incredible day this is with a fresh year’s potential stretched out before me. I want to be found faithful this is year with each and every opportunity you bring to me.
I pray for your spirit to lead me each step of this new year. I ask that you guide my decisions and turn my heart to deeply desire you above all else. I ask that you open doors needing to be opened and close ones needing to be such tight.
I ask that you help me release our grip on the things to which you said no, not yet, or wait patiently. I ask for help to pursue you first above every dream and desire you put within my heart. I pray for your wisdom.
Your strength. And power to be consistently present within me. I pray you will make me strong and courageous for the road ahead. Give me ability beyond what I feel able. Let your gifts flow freely through me, so that you will be honored by my life and others will be drawn to you.
I pray that you will keep me far from the snares and traps of temptation, thar you will whisper in my ear when I need to run ad whisper in my heart when I need to stand my ground. I pray for your protection over my family and friends, I ask for your hand to cover me and keep me distant from the evil intent from the enemy that you will be a barrier to surround me. That I’d be safe in your hands.
I pray that you will give me discernment and insight beyond my years to understand your will, hear your voice, and know your ways.
