I WILL NOT FEAR Part 2

If you want to live a life of peace, you must take a stand against fear through the word of God. You have to believe in the word (the Bible), and do what it says to receive peace. The peace that the world offers is not the same peace that God offers us. Peace from God, is peace that transcends all understanding. Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Notice what the verse says that the peace of God will do for you -- guard your 'heart and your mind' in Christ Jesus. God designed peace as guards or protective soldiers for His children. You can achieve the peace the Bible explains, if you trust God fully and do what the word says to do.

The Bible is definitive in what it says to do, and not to do, and how to live your life. If you do what it says -- you will get what it says. If you do what it says not to do -- there are consequences, exactly how the Bible shares them.

God created peace as a protector for His children's 'heart and mind' because the enemy, (Satan's) main target is your mind. If he can get to your mind with thoughts of fear it will transfer to your heart. The enemy can only make you fall if you allow him in your mind to stay. Once he stays in your mind he will plant weeds to corrupt your thinking. If you believe the lies he tells you, it will eventually transfer to your heart. Once you have a belief in your heart, whether it is true or not, you will create a conviction about the matter. Once you have a conviction about a topic it will be very hard to change your mind about it, because it is now rooted in you. This is where the real dangerous problems will begin.

Have you ever heard anyone say, "I'll never be rich," or "I'll never find a good man," or use the words "I can't" a lot? They are saying this because the enemy has gotten into their mind, and the thought was allowed to stay and be meditated on over time. Eventually it transferred into their heart, and that is what creates the conviction of believing they will never be rich, or never finding a good man, or continue to use the phrase -- "I can't." When you have the peace of God in your life you are not afraid. You do not make decisions with your emotions. You don't t have vendettas against people.  You are confident. You stand up to fear and doubt -- in any form -- and do not allow it to stick around.  You stay away from people who are always afraid or make other people fearful.

The enemy uses people and thoughts to create obstacles against the promises God has for your life. This is why, it is very important to monitor who you hang around and who and what you continue to listen to.

In sociology there is a term called the 'generalized other.' It states that an individual takes over the general values and moral rules of a given group while you are continuously socializing with them. If you are afraid of things, think about who you are socializing with or what you watch (on social media or TV). What you listen to has a lot to do with fear as well. Your fear is more than likely picked up because of your association and constant socializing with someone or something who harbors fear and/or pushes doubt. It is important who you associate yourself with. They will affect your future. They will affect your peace and sanity. In the bible it says in Psalm 1:1, "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly.." If you are walking in the counsel of who is not fully dedicated to God, you are susceptible to fear entering your life and your peace being stolen. Take a look at who you associate with, who you are in a relationship with, or where you hang out, and ask yourself, "Does he/she make me feel afraid or doubtful of anything?" You should be able to answer this question right away. If the answer is yes, you should pray against the spirit, and/or remove yourself from being around the individual. Why? Because in the Bible it says that we can do "ALL THINGS" through Christ who strengthens us. God is not a negative God. That's why He is adamant about His children not being either.

In the book of Job Satan entered into his dreams and tormented Job with fear of losing his children and finances. This was a dream Job could not get out of his mind, so he began to meditate on this fear and put much energy and focus into it. Because of Job's continued focus  on the fear, he brought what he was afraid of to fruition -- which resulted in Job losing his children and finances. This is how fear works. Dreams have to do with your mind. This is Satan's main target. Whatever you are afraid of, and continuously focus on, you will bring it to your life. After Job lost his children and finances he states in Job 3:25, "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, And that which I was afraid of is come unto me." Job could not get the fear that Satan planted through a dream out of his mind.

If you begin to focus on something that you are afraid of -- stop, and cast it out of your mind. Come against it, in the name of Jesus. You are the one who is in control of your mind, --- not Satan, and not anyone else. Everything starts in your mind first, then your world is created from there. Therefore, seek the peace God gives you through the Bible, and your heart and your mind will be guarded just like it says in Philippians 4:7.
