God is good and His mercy endures forever.

INTRO TO GOD Part 2

It is very important to know who God is. It is vital to understand how He operates and why He does the things he does -- and what he wants for you -- and what he doesn't want for you. Many Christians talk about God and believe He is the creator of the heavens and the earth, but they do not know him. They don't know what He is against. They don't know what makes Him proud or what angers Him. Most people do not know God greatly dislikes when humans complain. On the other hand, many Christians and people that say they believe in God, do not know God likes to be involved with every aspect of  their life. If you don't learn this from your own research, studying, fellowship, prayer, reading the Bible, and personal experience -- your life will be a cycle of ups-and-downs, mixed in with many questions and disappointments about life.

So, the question is -- who is God?

God is a spirit. He is a king. He is a God of law and order. He is omniscient and omnipotent. He is the Way -- the Truth -- and the Life. This list can go on-and-on, but you must read about him, pray to Him, follow the word, study the Bible to learn all of the things God wants you to know about him. When you do that you will begin to see everything in a different light.

The Bible -- which was created by God -- was designed specifically for you as a human to know who He is. The Bible is the mind of God. If you want to know the mind of God, you must read it -- and read it daily. Every story in the bible still applies today. When God speaks it is always in the NOW. When you learn this, everything in the Bible will be easier to apply and be more relevant to your life. Most humans operate in the past and future, which makes the word of God very difficult to embrace. The past and future are two places you can never be in. The only place you can and will always be in is the NOW. When you can learn to operate in the NOW, you can break chains over your life and accomplish the impossible. Focusing at the task or tasks at hand and winning in your life -- one day at a time is the goal.

There is something new for you in essentially every sentence of the Bible. It is that vast and layered. Studying the Bible and being in the spirit will open up the hidden mysteries and treasures of God's word to you. If you do not commit to daily prayer to God and devotion to the Bible, you will be lost and not be able to make sense of things that are happening in your life and on earth just like the world.

Since God is a spirit, it is paramount that you get into the spirit to understand and connect with Him. It says in the book of John, "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth" (The King James Study Bible, John. 4.23). Praying and talking to God in your alone time is a great start to get into the spirit to tap into a connection with Him. God the spirit controls everything, but He does it through his word -- Jesus. Constant studying and prayer with God will separate you from the world and put you in a place of eventual freedom.

The first verse in Genesis immediately let's you know about God. "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" (The King James Study Bible, Gen. 1.1). God is letting you know He is a creator. In the beginning -- God created. This is important to understand because He created everything you see. He created the heavens and the earth and he also created you and me out of the dust of the earth. In the book of John it says, "All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made." (The King James Study Bible, John 1.3). In other words, everything came from God. This is why God hates when humans worship other gods. Because He is the reason for life and existence anywhere and everywhere. There are no other gods out there but him. Every god you hear about throughout history has to bow to the name Jesus, who is God. God is in control of it all -- no matter what you see or believe.

God created all of the galaxies you hear about and see in pictures. He meticulously created and built the Milky Way galaxy and every other galaxy out there. Do you like gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, rubies, jasper, or onyx? All of that stuff that you desire is in our galaxy and God created all of it. Those are the same desires and likes God has too. It's why He created it all.

It was reported in 2020 that an asteroid the size of Massachusetts is flying around between Mars and Jupiter worth an estimated $10,000 quadrillion. That is an estimated 70,000 times more valuable than the global economy, and the asteroid is only 140 miles in diameter. The asteroid named 16 Psyche, is said to be made entirely of iron and nickel and is $50 million times Jeff Bezos' wealth -- which is $170 billion. God allows NASA to pick up these findings because He wants humans to be able to tap into a different part of His world. He has stuff like this all throughout outer-space. When you read or hear the Bible verse, "And God shall supply all your needs according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19) -- think of 16 Psyche and all of the other precious metals and stones God created and designed.

Scientists have reported that it rains diamonds on Jupiter and Saturn. How would you like to live where it rains diamonds? God has stuff you have not even heard of yet. As we travel around the sun in a 365 day time-frame you don't even feel the gravitational pull. That's how good God is. He created rainbows and the beautiful mountains. He created atoms and molecules and elements on the periodic table. The depth of God is inexplicable. The great waterfalls around the world like Iguazu Falls in Argentina/Brazil and the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe are only a couple of wonders the Lord has placed on earth for you to enjoy. God has tremendous taste. The presence and resounding roar of a lion to the soaring eagle above the great blue skies, God meticulously created it all.

When you look up at the night stars understand God hung each one in its specific place. The Northern Lights of the aurora are a visual marvel. God directed collisions between electrically charged particles from the sun to enter earth's atmosphere to give you a rare joy and spectacular wonder of a spectrum of colors from this interaction. God has placed the most delightful things up above so when you look up you can know He is God and that He loves you. God is a creator and He will always be creating new things. It's what He does. And who He is.

So, the next time you look up at the stars, see a cheetah race across the safari, or view the beautiful trees in Maryland during the spring and fall, understand that God created those things for you. That's who God is.
