God is good and His mercy endures forever.

Look Forward to God

God wants you to keep your eyes on Him. He doesn't want you to take them off of Him. The reason for this want from Him is for no other reason than for your protection, prosperity, peace and safety. And all of this is because GOD loves you so much.

One of the main things a follower of Christ or a lost soul must believe is that the things God wants from you are not so you cannot be happy or have fun on the earth -- it is quite the contrary. God wants you to keep your eyes on Him to set you free from the world and bring you into a place of true freedom and blessings in Christ Jesus. You will never know this until you consistently keep your eyes and focus on God and trust what the Bible says. Once you can figure out the major benefits of keeping your eyes on Christ through trust and experience -- you will never take your eyes off of Him for the rest of your life. The problem is that most people do not have the patience to witness and experience the true blessings of God in their life. People are too connected to the world and driven by what the world thinks of them and by what they see. If you want the protection, prosperity, peace and safety God offers -- it is an obligation to maintain focus on Him and do not let go of it.

Bad results happen when God is not involved. If you own a business and you are not consulting God within it or about it, God is not responsible if it fails.  This means your eyes are not on Him. If you are taking advice from people who do not place their faith in the Lord you are susceptible to a crash. "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly.." (The King James Study Bible, Psalm. 1.1). All of the promises in the Bible are available to you when you 'Look Forward to God.'

In the book of Matthew chapter 14 Jesus walked on water to encounter the disciples as they were in a boat off to their next journey. As the disciples saw Jesus not too far off they thought He was a spirit, but the Lord told them, "Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid." (The King James Study Bible, Matthew. 14.27).  During this time the winds were very aggressive and the disciples' boat was being rocked by the intense winds. Peter shouted out to Jesus, "Lord, if it's you, tell me to come to you on the water." (New International Version, Matthew. 14. 28). As Jesus summoned Peter to come onto the water, he focused on Jesus and walked on the water toward Jesus for a short time. Once the winds picked up, Peter took his eyes off Jesus and began to sink. This is the result of allowing a distraction to make you take your eyes off God. As soon as he placed his eyes back on Jesus and cried out to Jesus to help save him, the Lord stretched out his hand and saved Peter immediately -- exactly how the word works. When you keep your eyes and focus on the Lord -- anything is possible. As soon as you get distracted with the rigors of life, you will sink.

God loves His children more than anything. He will do anything for them. If you knew how much God has already done for you, you would make sure you give your best and total effort to make sure you do not let Him down in an attempt to repay Him for all He has done and sacrificed for you. The only way you can find out how much the Lord has done for you is to keep your eyes on Him -- and do this in all you do. "In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths." (The King James Study Bible, Proverbs. 3.6). This Bible verse is informing you that you will be directed to the right destinations in your life by involving and acknowledging the Lord in all you do.

Ending up in the wrong place is not fun. It can cause torment, frustration, sadness, fear, and much more. Many people on earth are ending up in the wrong place everyday. The wrong relationships; the wrong jobs; the wrong school; the wrong city; and many other wrong places, just by not looking forward to God. Proverbs 3:6 is the truth, just like every other verse in the Bible. You have to trust the Bible with every fiber of your being to experience what it says. When you do this, God will open your eyes to the sacrifices and to the wonderful things He has placed inside of you for your future. If you do not have peace it is because of what you are focusing on or who you are connected to. Focusing on what the world focuses on will give you what the world has, which is no direction, no peace, confusion, stress, anger, sadness, irritation, depression and many other things. If you truly keep your eyes on the Lord, none of these aforementioned problems will be an issue for you -- because God will be your guide. Stress is not in God. Lack of finances cannot be located in Him either. God can only give you what He possesses.

As Jesus walked the earth He made sure to explain to the disciples what would occur if they kept their eyes on Him. He even went as far as to say that he is the way, the truth, and the life. "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (The King James Study Bible, John. 14.6). Jesus was letting His disciples know that if they want to experience peace, protection, wisdom and prosperity, the road and location is through Him. Where do you have your eyes looking? Social media? Other people's lives? Money? Parties? Sexual fun? Drinking? Bible? Love? Jesus? All of these things will bring you a result in your life. The results of all of them are guaranteed. But, the only guaranteed result of protection, prosperity, peace, and safety is through Jesus Christ -- the way, the truth, and the life. If you do not have continuous peace in your life, take note of what or who you have been focusing on, and it will give you a clear picture and understanding of what the absence of or lack of focus on Jesus Christ does for people.

When you can get to a point where you can consistently 'Look Forward to God,' you will then witness all of the wonderful things God has for you and your life. "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." (The King James Study Bible, Joshua. 1.8)God wants you to have good success -- but the only way to get it, is by focusing on Him.
